Tami's husband Nick decided to sign Kaiden up for the Dodge National Circut Finals Rodeo Muttin Bustin in Pocatello, Idaho. 80 kids signed up and only 40 of them were drawn out. Kaiden was one of them. For those of you who don't know what Muttin Bustin is, it is where 4-7 year old kids get to go out and try to ride a sheep for as long as they can. The one that rides the longest wins. We drove down to Pocatello on March 20th for Kaidens big ride. We had to go and buy him a new outfit because they have to actually look like a cowboy. So we go a hat, boots, wranglers, and a shirt. Kaiden rode his sheep in thursday nights rodeo. This is what it looked like.
Kaiden took FIRST PLACE Thursday night. We could not belive it. He was so excited and so proud of himself. The trophy he won was almost as big as him. Then we found out that the kids that take 1st and 2nd place have to come back and ride again in the Saturday night rodeo for the finals. So we stayed in Pocatello for the weekend and then Kaiden rode again on saturday night. His Saturday night ride was not as good but he still had fun. It was so fun to see him having so much fun and thinking he was so big.
Tickets for the Thursday rodeo: $38.00
Tickets for the Saturday rodeo: $43.00
New outfit to ride sheep: $110.00
Watching your son take 1st place in his first ever Muttin Bustin rodeo: PRICELESS
Let us not forget.....to be there when needed!!
